Cornerstone Baptist Church

As pastor of Cornerstone, I served on the building committee and worked more closely with Roger Pahl and Mike Kaye than any other member of our building committee. I cannot express in writing how enthusiastically I recommend these men and the team that surrounds Pahl and Kaye construction.

Pahl and Kaye distinguished themselves immediately in the earliest stages of the bidding process. They met all of our requested deadlines. For most of us on the building committee, this project represented the largest such project (12,000 sq. ft.) in which we had ever been involved. Roger, Mike and Eric led us gently through the process of making those initial plans.

Once we selected Pahl and Kaye as our contractors, we found the construction process to be nothing less than a delight. Roger visited the job site multiple times per day, on average, keeping track of progress by his tradesmen and keeping the work site clean. We had not anticipated that a site would be kept so orderly nor had we anticipated how helpful this would be to us as various members wanted to visit the job site at various times and check the progress. When they came, they found the site orderly, clean and safe. We even held prayer services on a few Sunday evenings throughout the job.

The project was completed ahead of schedule. The project was under budget, which allowed us to add many extras towards the end of the project. Throughout the project, our building committee requested a number of change orders. We found all of these change orders to be priced at an excellent value. Being budget conscious, we did several do-it-yourself projects. Roger was a great instructor and supervisor to our volunteers and even pitched in to help on several projects.

We have been in our building almost a year now and are so pleased with its performance and the value we received. Ultimately, we praise God for this reality. But there is no denying that God's means to providing us with such a great facility was centered on Roger Pahl and Mike Kaye. We are eternally grateful to them.
